The North Coast Craft Revitalization Project (NCCRP) and Things Jamaican

The North Coast Craft Revitalization Project (NCCRP) is a collaborative effort between the Jamaica Business Development Corporation and the Tourism Enhancement Fund.

Purpose of the NCCRP

The Project is aimed at improving the competitiveness and income generating capabilities of craft producers in the North Coast Region of the island and specifically in the parishes of St. Ann, St. James and Trelawny. The project objectives include:

  •           Strengthening the product and business competencies of beneficiaries
  •           Improving products and product development competencies
  •           Improving Market Access and Promotion Opportunities

Role of Things Jamaican

Things Jamaican is the marketing and retail arm of the JBDC and among its services are market research, market testing, market access facilitation and retailing.

Things Jamaican will provide for the beneficiaries: market surveys/data collection and feedback; market access through trade show participation and retailing of finished products through the Things Jamaican chain of stores; continuous market feedback; branding assistance; identification of prospective buyers; digital marketing assistance including ecommerce and social media marketing; among other things.
